The Church continues to be alive and active, but our buildings have now closed.

Our website contains details of how to join others online for prayer, worship, study, and community life and is updated daily.

The Collect

Almighty and everlasting God, who in your tender love towards the human race sent your Son our Saviour Jesus Christ

to take upon him our flesh and to suffer death upon the cross:

grant that we may follow the example of his patience and humility, and also be made partakers of his resurrection; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,

who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen

Let us pray

We pray to you, Lord of palm-branches and the cross,

for you understand us, and in love you have promised

not to push away any who come to you.

Lord God, our heavenly Father, you raised Jesus from the dead and exalted him to be Lord of all. Hear us as we pray in his name for the needs of this world and for our own concerns during these days of the Coronavirus.

Let us pray for God’s church during this Holy Week; for Bishops James and Simon, for clergy, lay ministers and church workers, as they lead us though troubling times.

Let us pray for the nations of this world and for their leaders that a desire for peace, justice and freedom will prove stronger than a desire for power with injustice and oppression.

Let us pray for the communities we represent in this church: our places of work and for those who have no work; for our homes and families in separation and isolation, that we may love and honour one another as God had blessed us.

Let us pray for those who are suffering or struggling with any kind of need that at this time God may bring them the healing, peace, strength and comfort he knows they need from him.

Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ.
